The Problem With Nigeria - Onuchukwu Okeoma

The Problem With Nigeria
My disappointment with Sai Baba and Nigeria is now very obvious and I must talk

What is Nigeria's problem sef? Is it religion? Is it tribal hatred? Is it leadership? Is it ethnic suspicion? Or Kwaraptian? Lol
Hear me out folks:

Nigeria has refused to learn. She has refused to use the principle of track records to maneuver the best future for herself. Now I can't even say that we have a future... Now let's do a little flashback...

***Ahmadu Bello on the 12th of October, 1960

"The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use the minorities in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future”.

***Three years before that: 1957... Same "hero past"- National Anthem

"We the people of the North will continue our stated intention to conquer the South and to dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean after the British leave our shores.”

Hmmm...!
You begin to wonder why the history of a nation is removed from the curriculum!
This is because if we the generation that owns the destiny of this great nation knows where we are coming from, the atrocities that has been committed by the leaders so called " heroes past," we'll crave a great future that their evil hearts cannot bear.

Before my northern and western friends will attack me, there is no sentiment in whatever I am expressing today. I vouched for Buhari during the past elections (I wasn't an eligible voter), I have a crush an a Muslim girl as I am speaking to you now. So it has nothing to do with being Christian or Igbo.
I am a considerate Nigerian who honourably wishes that things become better. I am among the group of Easterners that still has the Faith of the mustard seed for our country. But we are going no were in this "shithole" until we correct our past so as to have a working present to determine a great future.

*History will destroy you if you refuse to learn from it.

*Nature is stubborn! Nature has this uncanny persistence that its lesson MUST be learnt before any progress can be made (Uncle Ogbo will say)
And so, for 100 years, Nigeria has pined away on the same spot. Same stories. Same problems, same people, same mindset, same insanity. Nigeria thinks it can beat nature to its laws - repeating the same follies and expecting miracles

*I think you should hear Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the current Emir of Kano, speaking quite prophetically in 1999:

”There is a new Igbo man, who was not born in 1966 and neither knows nor cares about Nzeogwu and Ojukwu. There are Igbo men on the street who were never Biafrans. They were born Nigerians, are Nigerians, but suffer because of actions of earlier generations. They will soon decide that it is better to fight their own war, and may be find an honorable peace, than to remain in this contemptible state in perpetuity. The Northern Bourgeoisie and the Yoruba Bourgeoisie have exacted their pound of flesh from the Igbos. For one Sardauna, one Tafawa Balewa, one Akintola and one Okotie-Eboh, hundreds of thousands have died and suffered. If this issue is not addressed immediately, no conference will solve Nigeria´s problems.”

*My Uncle will say "give him time". Sai Baba is incompetent, period.
Does it take two years to organize a conference to map out Nigeria's future?
What does it take for a commander in chief of the armed forces to react to the brutalization of the citizens you are called to protect?

*Woaw! The point is Othman Dan Fodios dying wish

Ahmadu Bello gave us a deep hint for the endless blood flow in Nigeria: Othman (or Usman or Uthman) dan Fodio, the founder of the Sokoto Caliphate!

"Deep the Koran in the Atlantic ocean!"

*Dan Fodio’s impressive jihads were finally wedged at Ilorin and Upper Benue. But then, he left a dying request, which isn’t a secret anymore - that his followers must dip the Quran into the Atlantic!

Have you ever wondered...
*the very last street bordering Nigeria and the Atlantic Ocean in the very heart of Yorubaland was named Ahmadu Bello Way and not Oduduwa Way?

Haha! Okeoma shut up!

But lemme first help you connect the dot

* The Quran is not yet dipped into the Atlantic through Benue and Igboland.

*Another powerful scion of Dan Fodio is now the Commander in Chief.

*Who also doubles as the Grand Patron of the Miyetti Allah cattle rearers association of Nigeria.

Go figure!

®The signs are so glaring even the blind could see them. Armed “Fulani herdsmen” have mapped out our villages; they have literally occupied every inch of our ancestral lands.

What point am I making then?
This is Nigeria, and I am a Nigerian, I call on all my brothers.
I call on Peter Yurriens Ezenduka, Izuchukwu Elvis Nwachukwu, Oziomachukwu Otu, Patt Clifford, Victor Rogers, Adaeze Kay Ogbu, Alpaceno Dika, Jimlas Okafor And all those who Nigeria still mean something to.
Join me, let's dig out our history let's reset Nigeria let's reset our home, and let's rule this land.
Who's with me?
#Boss
#Revolution
#Dominators
